NMU Hosts Western Michigan Feb 12 and 13

The Western Michigan Broncos (4-14-4-1) currently residing near the CCHA basement in 11th place travel to Marquette after sweeping the Fighting Irish in Kzoo. NMU fighting for playoff position has leaped to 7th place in the CCHA standings after taking 5 of 6 points from Ferris State. This series is critical to the `Cats, and virtually meaningless to the Broncos, who could play part as a major spoiler to the Wildcats.

Reebok Goaltender of the Week: Brian Stewart

Brian Stewart, who offered possibly his best performance in goal this season has been chosen as the Reebok Goaltender of the Week for the CCHA. Stewart had 43 saves on Friday and 51 on Saturday at Ferris State for a total of 94 saves; he only allowed 3-goals on Friday. Further Stewart stopped all three of the Bulldogs shootout attempts. Stewarts performance was critical in the Wildcats ability to take 5 of 6 CCHA points in Big Rapids.

NNU Takes 5 out of 6 Points from Ferris - Stewart Earns Shutout on Saturday!

NMU shutout the Ferris State Bulldogs on Saturday. The Bulldogs are the top scoring team in the CCHA. However, they could not find the back of the net with Brian Stewart's excellent performance.
